Amazingly, alot of people think Morris Day & The Time only performed their 1984 smash hit "Jungle Love" in Purple Rain. Well they actually did that at least twice. Do you remember the 2001 comedy "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back?" Yep, they did it again - and again we loved - 17 years after Purple Rain! Check it out!

While searching the South Pacific for a missing aviator, Bob Mitchell and Jimmy Wallace are caught in a typhoon and crack up on an island, escaping unharmed with the aid of Tura, a beautiful jungle girl who is the only inhabitant of the island and is believed a goddess by the natives of the adjoining islands. The three are about to leave the island on a make-shift raft when a gang of savage tribesman land, headed by Kuasa, a half-mad potentate who informs them that all whites are his mortal enemies because an Englishwoman once spurned his love and he got his revenge by stealing her daughter, who is Tura.

From what I can tell, this is essentially a color remake (with a few slightly modified details) of Dorothy Lamour's lead debut, The Jungle Princess, in which she also played a 'native girl' who rescues Ray Milland then falls in love with him, much to the chagrin of his fiancée.

A chimpanzee of the Amazonian jungle saves a baby and raises him as her own. He becomes the Tarzan of the jungle. A gang of treasure hunters come to the jungle with two young ladies accompanying them. One of them, Rita is captured by a cannibalistic tribe. Tarzan saves her and befrnglhiends Rita. Rita gives him a name Raja and falls in love with him.

Over on TV, FX is most likely going to rule the day with drama "The People v. O.J. Simpson" and Donald Glover comedy "Atlanta." But they should watch out for challenges from Netflix's "The Crown," HBO's "Westworld," and Amazon's "Mozart in the Jungle."

What will win: "La La Land"This incredible modern musical about love and how ambition gets in the way is powerful for so many reasons. It would be a complete shock if it didn't win.

What will win: "Atlanta" (FX)The perfection of the first season of Donald Glover's comedy is pretty undeniable. The HFPA will probably honor that, along with the show's unique storytelling style.

Who will win: Donald Glover, "Atlanta" (FX)Glover will probably be honored by voters for not only acting, but creating the best comedy show of 2016. Not only that, his star is on the rise and Globe voters will want to have some part of that.

Who could win: Anthony Anderson, "Black-ish" (ABC)"Black-ish" is certainly getting some delayed love from critics and award shows this past year. While it isn't a perfect show, Anderson deserves recognition for balancing its comedic and serious themes deftly. Plus, the Globes can count on a moment if he wins.
